DURALAND

100% made with recycled plastics

DuraLand® chairs are designed to firmly close the recycling cycle, made from 100% recycled plastic that can enter afresh into new production cycles; this is a solution that offers an enduring impact on the environment.

Rigid plastic bottles are collected from European recycling stations; these are the same recycling stations that the chairs will eventually be returned to. Our partners, Der Grüne Punkt, operate under the motto ‘Take it and Shape it’ and that’s precisely what they do, transforming the waste into a new recycled plastic that serves as our raw material. ScanCom processes the raw plastic pellets, before gas-injecting the polymer resin into our custom-built state-of-the-art moulds. The finished product takes five minutes to produce, is extremely hard-wearing and is completely safe for the environment.

The buckets are available in a variety of colours that reflect the source of the recycled material, slotting into our Brazilian FSC Eucalyptus wooden legs to form a low maintenance product that is a durable, practical and stylish addition to just about any outdoor setting.

DuraLand® is a result of ScanCom’s sustainability journey, but it is not the end point, we will continue to look for even more ways to upcycle and further lower our carbon footprint, while still delivering our customers the highest levels of quality.
